The name Arising is a combination of the last names of the founders and indicates exactly what we believe in. For us, it symbolizes growth, development and the emergence of new opportunities.
For us, arising means moving in the right direction, the direction that gives energy and creates opportunities for positive change.
We work from the firm belief that there is always a choice.
We focus on what is possible, on the qualities that are already present. There are enough barriers and challenges to conquer, we try to minimize them.

I have always been fascinated by people and by their resilience. Every person is special and has their own will and unique power. Working together with all those diverse individuals and being allowed to contribute to their development is my greatest passion.
After my study Work and Organizational Psychology, I worked for more than thirteen years at a large multinational in various HR functions, including training & development, recruitment, management development and HR Management. After that, I started my own business and have been working for fifteen years with great pleasure in various assignments in interim HR management, project management, consultancy and coaching.
Since I have worked in so many different organisations and sectors, I can easily relate to different people, positions and organisations. As an interim manager I am used to effectively and quickly identify and analyze the most important activities and/or areas for improvement.
As a coach and consultant, having worked with hundreds of clients, my passion is to work with managers and professionals and support them in finding their own strength and uniqueness so they can get the best out of themselves and their teams.
I am always looking for ‘what is possible’ and ‘what gives energy’. I am solution-oriented and am always determined to encourage people to make the right choices and to support them with the steps that come along with them.
I work closely with a large professional network, including HR Managers, Executive Managers, interim professionals, trainers and coaches.
In addition to my Master in Psychology, I have also completed a Post-doc study in Human Resource Management. I have been trained in various coaching techniques, including solution-focused coaching, the coach as a professional, Covey, Transactional Analysis and Co-Active Coaching.

I am a seasoned CFO with extensive experience in various environments. In addition to a Master in Business Economics I have completed the postgraduate programme Register Controller. In my career I worked with the large multinationals (Philips and Unilever), worked in wholesale & retail (Hema, O’Neill, Topshelf), gaming / gambling (Staatsloterij, Holland Casino) and fast moving consumer goods (such as Friesland Campina and Continental Bakeries).
Over the years I have gained various experience in multinationals, with privatly held companies, dutch state participations, and private equity. In addition to the daily management of the company, I worked on important improvement processes: from relatively smaller processes (eg the introduction of new systems and working methods) to full business transformation.
My belief is that in all companies and circumstances “people make the difference”; The performance of organizations is largely determined by the growth and development of people and teams. That is why it is important to invest in this and to challenge existing thinking patterns (paradigms) in companies. This can be done by asking elementary questions, such as ‘why do customers have to buy from me’, ‘which products & customers contribute to the bottom line results, which not and where are opportunities for growth’, ‘which activities add value and which do not?’. And not to forget “which behaviors are valuable, what is missed and what should be parted with’. After all, “culture eats strategy for breakfast”.
